I've crossed this river in southern Kansas several times lately on my way to work and thought it might make a good picture. I finally remembered to take my camera on Fri. and took time to stop. I'm glad I did. It seems that we seldom get conditions like this anymore.

Nice one Ken, I'm glad you stopped. I like the cool blue of the snow in shadow and the warm tones of the sun on the horizon.

That is a great image and an awesome looking location. I would make that a regular stop. Would also be a neat location to photograph every season.
