Hi all:

I have a quick question...Can you sign a photograph that has been sprayed with a protective coating? I just had a bunch of prints made, and all have been sprayed with a protective coating. However, I just realized that I need to sign them all and I'm not sure if I'm able to do that with the coating. Any suggestions?

thanks,
Natalie

If they're going to be matted, you could sign the mat.

P.S. I just looked at your site. Gorgeous!

Hey Lance: They are not going to be matted, so I can only sign the print. Thanks for checking out my website by the way!

Natalie - You could try something like one of these archival markers : http://www.dickblick.com/products/zig-memory-system-writers/

But I'd suggest trying it on a surplus print before trying it on a salable print.

Thank you for the responses. I found that an acid free paint pen works well.
