The March 2013 edition of Nature Photographers Online Magazine is now ready for viewing!

This month’s cover photo is a beautiful shot taken by Jeffrey Sipress, captured on a misty day in Giant Forest, Sequoia National Park. Our thanks to Jeffrey for posting it!

Wildlife photographer Brad Hill has submitted the Wolf Snares In My Backyard article that all should read. It tells of questionable “wildlife management” practices being used on local wolf populations in British Columbia. Please take the time to read this article, consider the situation and if you agree, use the link to sign the petition. Our thanks to Brad for bring this situation to our attention.

Alain Briot serves up the essay Vision Part 1 - From Passion to Vision? that focuses on fine art and landscape photography. Alain’s series of essays that have appeared on NPN for the last four years are truly must-reads for those who wish to take their craft to the next level!

EPJ gallery moderator Carl Batreall offers a very worthy read with his A Single Lens article. The concept of mastering a single lens/focal length is one that many of us appreciate and Carl offers some more insight on the subject!

In the search for a compact, lightweight laptop PC to replace an old IBM X40, I paid a visit to the Puget Systems website and found exactly what I was looking for. If you are in the market for and easy-to-carry PC but do not want to give up workstation performance, be sure to check out my review of the Puget Systems Traverse 11.

For those in search for an alternative to Adobe products for their photo-editing needs, be sure to check out Paul Faust’s review of OnOne’s PhotoSuite 7 software. Looks to be a worthy consideration!

As always, we invite all NPN members to post their questions and comments in the section provided at the end of every article and review.

We hope you enjoy this latest edition!
