Hawfinch (female)
Thanks DK
Nice to get one out of the water above the pool for a change. Bit of a scruffy female all the same. Even had one in front of the kitchen window the other day. Maybe the same bird.
D200
Sigma 100-300 mm
Stray rear blue tit cloned out(with great difficulty too !!)

Hugely jealous, would love these in my garden! Not holding out much hope for them appearing in south west London though! Cracking shot John, great detail as ever.
Thanks peeps
Pondered about the twigs and the backdrop and thought they gave a sense of depth but interesting to see other thoughts. I Thought taking them down would make the bg a bit bland.
Thanks..

I think the bird stands out well from them, so I would leave the twigs as they are.

Love the detail and sweet light in this one but i am not too fond of the setting with the OOF twigs.
