Ice Alaska 2013
The 2013 World Ice Art Championships are under way in Fairbanks. The carvings, weather permitting, will be on display until March 31, 2013. As always, the ice sculptures are spectacular. This is a detail shot from one of the multi-block carvings.

A trip to Fairbanks this weekend could combine Ice Alaska, the Open North American Sled Dog races and, who knows, maybe some aurora.

Pretty neat. I'd rather be there than traveling on business down here in the lower 48!!!!
