Flight of fancy
D7000 300mm f4 + TC14e ISO 400 1/500s at f7.1 handheld.

Saw the heron in flight and rattled of a couple of shots and only after realised I had an inverted woodland BG. It is a bit arty and I quite like it.......what about you?

Many thanks for the comments on my otter post. (This was taken the same day).

BG would make a great camo cover! :) :toast:

Nick I love the background in this, it's really really nice. The pose and position of the heron works very well too, and of course the light is great as well. Looking at the large version however, I'm not sure if the focus is on the heron or the water behind as the bird looks a bit soft.

The colours on the water are fantastic, but I agree with Phil that the bird itself is too soft.
