This old fireplace is all that is left of the Old Multonamah Falls Lodge more commonly known as Mist Falls Lodge. A portion of Mist Falls can be see in the background to the right. There is a rather steep and slippery trail up to a higher viewpoint of the falls. A very nice historical location that is a rather rare view for most visitors.

Hi Phil! This is a cool find. I didn't know it was there, but I'll look for it next time I'm in the area.
This looks like nice and secluded setting. Nice shot of this old relic. On my monitor the yellow tones appear a bit over saturated. Perhaps toning them down would allow the chimney to be more prominent.
Thanks for your comments. This fireplace is located along the highway midway along Benson Lake. Look for Mist Falls on the cliff face and that will help. Also, Mist Creek runs under the road just east of the small parking space for the trail to the falls and the fireplace.
Here is a slightly less yellow and gold saturation of the leaves.
