What is this place like? Is it worth spending an afternoon there, say after shooting Fallen Roof Ruin?

Thinking about using it as a camping spot also for one night.

Without hesitation: YES. Natural Bridges NM is very, very cool. Not much visitation, incredibly beautiful night skies and there is no shortage of scenery to photograph there including ruins and interesting landscapes. Go. Just. GO.

Thanks Bret. I will talk to my friends and probably put it on the itinerary.

I spent most of a day there in late October and enjoyed scouting out the park. I came away with many keepers and the desire to return for a more extended visit in the near future.

Nat'l. Bridges was designated as the first official International Dark Sky park for very good reason. If night photography appeals to you, then this place is right up your alley.
As an aside, my favorite place to camp on the Cedar Mesa is Muley Point, with it's awesome views of the San Juan River canyon and Monument Valley. A Google image search will go a long way toward showing it off.

John, Muley Point sounds great! Maybe we will camp there instead of the gooseneck area.
