Some lovely detail and intimate low POV Keith - would second that, but more importantly 1/80, very good.
I don't think you can do much about the BKG, however running a little NR may help, plus, you could also run a Graduate filter to perhaps darken it down, but then lift the subject & FG up in Levels as the Histogram is falling short, but just my take. The subject has enough space around to breathe too. BTW it's RGB
Thanks Guys Jeroen recon if I tried to take out the grass which i'm not too bothered about I would mess up its whiskers
Steve promise I will buck up! forgot to convert profile Keith.
Jeroen recon if I tried to take out the grass which i'm not too bothered about I would mess up its whiskers - Keith, give me a call tomorrow, I'll try and teach you something simple to try, you never know and it could work, too.

A very nice hare image thanks for sharing, I also benefit from the advice given too. I agree on the blade of grass I'd leave it.

I would leave the grass because you will have to sort out the shadow it casts too. Unless Steve has some magic trick for that? ;)

Great hare image Keith. For what its worth I would leave the grass as its part of a natural looking image.
Nick.

If Steve has a magic trick for that grass blade, I would go with it. Otherwise a good portrait.

Lovely hare photo, I miss these guys - haven't been able to photograph one for years. I like the grasses - gives an intimate natural feel. Very nice!

Smashing shot, wish I could get one. Why on earth would you want to remove the grass, I thought it was a natural part of the habitat.

Thanks for looking and your comments and tips on my last effort much appreciated
Keith.
Do find the BG less attractive and would be tempted to clone out the grass blade underneath it's eye.
Kind regards,
Jeroen Stel
