Comet PANSTARRS 3/19/13
I have enjoyed getting a chance to photograph the comet on 3 different nights. This is from tonight. After seeing where the comet was last night, I knew that I should be able to get it and this windmill in conjunction tonight. This was taken almost an hour after sunset. 7D, ISO 1600, f/5, 2.5 sec, 168mm, cropped to vertical.

This is my favorite from your series Rob. I like the inclusion of the windmill in this celestial shot. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome Rob!!! Love the warm glow and distinct tail of the comet. Nice work! :toast:

Glad a few folks got out to photograph the comet. I also like the glow of the tail. Windmill is hard to make out though, almost wish you had popped a a little flash on it. Still a nice image.

Thanks guys. Darren, I will try that if I get another chance. However, the windmill is far enough away I am not sure if flash will be effective.

I was on a desktop this morning. However the windmill is much more visible on my phone. Here I think you are fine without flash.

Nice job Rob. The windmill definately adds a lot. In Kansas you have to take what ever you can get on the horizon sometimes.

Rob, the Windmill is a great foreground to the comet.
