D7000 300mm f4 ISO 320 1/60s at f8 tripod, cable release.
Taken at garden feeding station as Robbie came on to the perch to sing his beautiful song and re-affirm his territory for the coming breeding season as the last of the evening sun lights his face and warms the birch and bracken clad hillside.
Many thanks for the cooments on my last post.
Nick.

A touch on the warm side but that is a cracking image. Despite having peckers, tits, nutters, buzzards, squirrels and kestrels this winter I do miss robins, don't know where they have been
Great image, given the sunset I would expect it to be this warm, I first thought you had used fill flash from the central catch-light, but now understand the shooting criteria.
Try resetting the black point from the eye black, it will give it a tad more punch and overcome the weak blue channel from the lighting conditions (but leave the white point well alone!)

Cracker, but cool it down a touch.
