I visited Death Valley last week and was pleasantly surprised when one of the lowest priority locations on my punch list (Devil's Golf Course) ended up being my favorite. I'm also not normally a big fan of night/star photos, but the clouds rolling in contrasting with the stars, sunset, and salt pan seemed to add a perfect amount of punch to the scene.
Here's a picture of the course at twilight.
If the devil and I did play golf, I think we'd both prefer doing so at twilight. Me because it's cheaper, him because the salt on his course really lights up nicely in the moonlight (which was about a 1/4 moon during this shot)!
C&C are appreciated.

I like your comp with the detail in the foreground, I know it's sometimes hard to frame an image in such a barren landscape. I also like the clouds in the sky, they add another layer of depth. My only nit might be the color cast in the sky doesn't seem quite right, although I can't seem to pinpoint what the correction might be.

Death Valley is fun...
But I also find a certain uneasy feeling walking miles out into these salt features in the middle of the night with not a single person anywhere in the area. Closest I'll ever come to walking on the moon.

Nice shot.
