This is a pretty lonely space. I guess I'll go ahead and enter something. Hope more follow now that I've broken the ice.

Well, I guess I've procrastinated enough, since this coming week looks to be awfully busy. I'll start of with the earliest of our wildflowers from the Western Washington Prairies-Spring Gold, taken April 26th at Thurston county's Glacial Heritage Preserve.

This one seemed to have too much flower in it for some of the Avian folk, so let's see how it does in a more general setting. Rufous Hummingbird in a Penstemon Cultivar (Red Riding Hood, I believe). Taken in my back yard a couple of miles south of Littlerock, WA on June 2nd.

Lastly, another flower image. This is Harsh Paintbrush in Oregon Sunshine. This was taken at a local Native Plant Nursery (Shotwell's Landing) run for growing restoration plants.. It's also a couple of miles south of Littlerock, but on a different road. Taken June 8th.
Two that I haven't posted... because I like variety that is not yet been on my posts... #1 is Bleeding Heart... which exemplifies spring gardens in the PNWest.
