The University of Washington arborist is reporting that the big old cherry trees at the University of Washington campus Quad in Seattle are at their peak bloom right now. This photo is from last year, taken at the tail end of the peak, when the blossom color had already started to fade. I've posted a little more information on my blog at http://gregvaughn.com/blog/2013/03/31/university-of-washington-cherry-trees/
Such a fine shot, Greg, and a wonderful perspective. Aren't those trees just GLORIOUS, though! As Elizabeth says, so perfect a post for today. Thanks for putting it up and giving the blossom report!
Steve: I would really enjoy taking another shot at the UW cherry trees, but right now I'm concentrating on finishing up editing photos and writing about a whole bunch of Washington trips I've taken in the past couple years. Hope to have that book done and hit the road again in a couple of weeks.
