I am new here and can not seem to figure out how to post images from my flickr account. I can't seem to paste the image code, I keep getting an error message.

Welcome to NPN! You should find the members and info and critiques on this site to be extremely helpful in becoming an even better photographer.
One of the ways NPN keeps that professional level experience is to handle the uploads that go onto this site, so embedding html to other images isn't supported at this time. It is preferred that you prepare your best work and use the site's upload feature, which does come with some guidelines that you may want to review. You can view those here.
There is a thing called a permalink, which is a direct link to an image, as opposed to a slideshow or gallery link, which is what won't work here on NPN. I would recommend using the help feature on Flickr. I did that and found the following FAQ, which is confusing to me. But the bottom statement seems to me that this is no longer allowed from Flickr.
