Primrose (cult.) & repost
I've had a strange visitor to my garden garden feeder area the last few mornings - a male pheasant but in the Chinese ring-necked form, it must currently be skulking on the railway embankment and using a fox hole through the fence line as there is no way it can fly in between the overhanging scrub bushes!

Despite trying to stake it out, no joy as yet, but fingers crossed. Meanwhile whilst twiddling my thumbs today, a simple garden primrose

Olympus E-3, 50-200mm at 137mm, iso 200, 1/200s at F8 handheld in IS mode 1, small adjustment to curves to exagerate the flower colour

Mike I hope your Pheasant turns up, the exposure of these flowers looks spot on to me and full of detail.

Thanks Phil

I get it, so how's this version?

I used simple cut out selection layer, a reduced opacity greenish layer and the B&W layer

the flowers stand out more as the back ground doesnt compete so it works really well for me, clever stuff :toast: :toast: :toast:
