At the little trail next to the first upper J. C. bridge. Nice cloudy day between rain showers for this. Up the road a mile or so is Jefferson Lake. The road goes around to the right at the small boulder field at the east end of the lake, which you cant see,, and then will go back to the left and up to where everyone parks and hikes down to the lake to camp. As soon as you come around the first corner to the right, just up a bit you will find a little place to park on the left, and a road to the right that dead ends in a small field for camping, parking... if you park on the small pull out on the left, there is a little trail that goes through the boulder field into the woods and on to the lake, which by then you will be able to see. You can get a nice reflection shot of a nice mountain in the lake when the water is high. For the life of me i cant remember the Mt. Elinore? Washington? Anyway, that whole area is pretty. Get all the way to the top, near the north end of the road, and you can hike to a small lake that is quite steep, 2-3 miles, havent been there yet. Friends tell me its beautiful up there. VIEW LARGER PIC.

Heres the lake facing west. Nothing great here, but when the log jam is moved, and your next to the lake, or up higher, you can get a nice reflection in the lake and during sunrise, sunset would be pretty nice, i think.

You really are making me want to go visit this area! The large pik of the stream and falls is very nice. You captured the water very well. I like the curves and the double drop. I think it could use some lightening and a little boost to the greens but I really like it as is too.

The second picture shows the promise of your description. I would love to see this with more water, less logs and a sunrise/sunset reflection of the mountain. I bet its spectacular!
