OT: Easter in South Dakota
Here are some more images I found in South Dakota for Easter weekend. I was walking around my Sister-in-Law's house near Newell, SD after dinner and came across this image. 3 stalks of weeds in the lee of the wheel standing still while everything around them was being whipped by the wind.

#2 Strawberry Creek
This is one of my favorite summertime fishing holes near Galena, SD. Looks a little different near the end of winter.

#3 Fun in Post.
My latest obsession is running HDR on images of old rusty cars or trucks..or in this case simply racking up the Vibrance and Saturation sliders in LR. And the Black Hills are chock full of old vehicles like this.

#4 Deadwood Architecture
I spent one morning in Deadwood. Lost my allowance in a poker tournament after just a couple hours. Good thing I had the G10 in my pocket for some wanderings while waiting for my ride to pick me up.

I love these kinds of Western intimate scenes. I especially like #1, beautiful Black and White processing. #3 is a close second. Four is cool too, however I'm a technical snob  shooting brick work seems to bring out distortions in a lens. I know..."give me a break Kane."

Thanks Kane. Your input is always appreciated and highly valued. You're right about #4 being technically flawed. In this case, I wasn't thrilled about schlepping my backpack around the casinos all day so I went with the pocket camera. Now if there was only a T/S attachment for the G series.....I don't think I've lost my love for the Grand Landscape but more and more I'm drawn to more intimate stuff like this.

I especially like #1. The use of selective focus makes it much more interesting.

Very creative set of images. Its alway great to see images of other areas. Can't believe you exposed your favorite fishing hole.
Good thing it was covered with snow

Didn't say it was my favorite....only one of my favorites. The favorite stream is the one that flows through my FIL's hay meadow.
