-story behind the image...Several weeks ago I had a very ambitious idea to go to Brian's Polyfoss Area in the morning and then drop down into Bear Creek for the great Sidewinder/V-Slot/Swamp/Slot opportunity. The morning went well with a very tough slog out of the Polyfoss area. Then a spot of lunch in Clarksville. Then it was off to Bear Creek. As my group dropped down the drainage the afternoon got longer and my legs got more tired. About 1/4 mile from the goal I looked at my watch and realized that if I continued it would be dark as I climbed the mile back up the drainage- and it would be a very slow climb. I decided to stop right there and work the mossy cascades and save the real prize for another day. I ended up making the right choice-both for my body and I think the image works also.

Smart decision on the turnaround, at least you got a few good images and now know how long it takes to get in and get out.
Nice work with this one, Bob. The saturated greens and reds really make it pop. The image appears to be a little soft in the lower left corner...maybe a slight crop from the bottom?
