Male blackcap with mistletoe berry
Not been visiting lately, been in the extra dimension
This is the first time I've seen a blackcap in my garden and the first time I've seen a bird eat my mistletoe berries.

Sigma Sd14 dslr
Sigma Bigma (50-500mm)lens set at 313mm
f5.6 1/125s
ISO400 Manual exposure through double glazing
Hand held with monopod
Processed in SPP 5.5, Neat Image and StereoPhotoMaker 4.40

Thanks for looking :wavey:

Nice capture David, a head turn would have been helpful, but they don't know do they! Looks like it's got a slightly pink/warm cast to it, possibly because of the double glazing? The berry in the beak makes it, nice shot.

Definately a bit pink/magenta but cannot say I have ever seen a BC or a bird eating misletoe. :toast:

Had a female blackcap in my garden last year feeding on redcurrants. Great image and pose David.

Super encounter, not sure I've seen a blackcap on mistletoe before, but its been a terrible year for berries this winter

Minor nit is the colour balance, but easily sorted :toast:

I got a single blackcap that visits my garden each day, but with all the neighbours cats that hang out I got no chance for a set up :frown:

Repeat whats been said really, about the colour cast. other than that its a pleasing looking image
