Fritillary
One from my woodland garden - posh name for a small strip under two small oak trees

Snakeshead fritillary self seeding from a couple of bulbs planted several years ago. The bells are now opening but its been too windy thelast couple of mornings for flower photography, the slightest sniff of wind and these things tremble!

Whites a bit hot Mike? I am thinking maybe a nicer sheet of light green cardboard for a BG? ;) Lovely flower though, never seen one myself.

I think the dark BG sets the flower off real nicely but have to agree the whites look a bit hot here.

Thanks chaps,

I think the green channel is slightly clipped.

Will have another go this weekend with the opened flower bells

Dont know my flowers from my elbow but the BG seems a little dark and the whites are certainly hot  Neil light green card suggestion seems valid as it shouldhelp with the floer exposure. Good to see some flora
