Toothwort (stacked)
My first sojourn into the big wide world of the forest for a while.
Found this single stem of Toothwort. Used to be quite common but hard to find now.
It is parasitic on hazel and other tree roots, so has no leaves. First time I have found one in all its pink glory- its usually either too early or over.
6 stacked images. I’ll post a single comparison at f18 if anyone is interested.
Combined CZM
Nikon D7000
Sigma 150mm macro.
500 iso @ f5.6
Slight crop.
Levels etc paint Shop Pro
Thanks for Thrush pic interest.
Cheers
JR
Take a look at the biggie -it shows what this technique can produce.

One or two odd spots in the BG John, presume it is the stacking software, although different in the full size version? Most visible top right. Nice stack though, really stands out in full detail.

Thanks Neil
Yes I posted this yesterday then took it off when I noticed the funny bits ! Got rid in the big one but went and posted the wrong small one again.! They noticed it on the American forum too . Mind you -you have to look hard.
Any way its something for people to look for !!
Cheers

Great stuff! I wish I had these paratising some of my hazels. All I've got is mistletoe on some of my apples.

Any chance of an anaglyph John?
