Garden Textures ... in the backyard
After yesterday's rain, I grabbed the camera, put on the 100mm with polarizer, attached the cable release and the tripod. I wanted to see the sunlight on the emerging green leaves with dewy drops. Basically, find garden textures in good light with sparkle. Our garden plot is small but packed tight so in the span of a few yards I had all the material needed for a lot of compositions, contrasts and such. I preferred mass posting of all 13 shoots over individual posting. I figure the fun is seeing them side by side.

...so here you go.

Enjoy.

Just grand! Very nice series, Ken!! Great comps, all; I esp. like #5 and #9, but they're all very well done.

Hi Catherine and Bruce, thanks for comments....C - funny how different are 'tastes'... I like the darker photos... with emerging light on the flowers... #11 and #13.... And my affinity for dark is always a handicap when I post process.

Yes, it is funny how tastes differ. My favorite is #2 because of the patterns and the drops, with #9 second.

A nice series Ken. Makes me want to see what I can do with all the dandelions in my backyard.

Very nice everyone of them. :)

I agree with Cliff, they're all nice Ken. If I had to choose, my favorites would be #1, 3, 6, and 9. Oh yeah, 11 as well. Absolute favorite is #3. The droplets and serrated leaves coupled with that rich green color make for a compelling image with great impact. As I said though, they're all very nice!
