I have made two trips to this delightful waterfall this spring. The hike is easy, the scenery great, and the proximity to several other noteable falls and creek oportunities makes this a new top place for me. It is a magical little place. I have a feeling that my love affair with the Upper Buffalo Wilderness is just beginning. No wonder a famous nature photographer/rescue expert calls this area home......
Yep, one of my favorites too, Bob. The hike to the falls is an easy one, but it becomes steeper as you continue toward the river. Once you get to the bottom, it's a boulder garden, with lots of rock hopping to get to the river. Boen Gulf is one of the most scenic drainages you will find, and well worth the effort to explore. Nice shot, Bob!

Oh, ok ... you guys took me to Boen Gulf once so now I have a little bit of a bearing. Beautiful image Bob, thanks for sharing this one.
Guys this is indeed a neat place. The first time I was there I dropped all the way down to the base of the hill and came back up the creek to Hadlock Cascades...truly a great scramble, boulder-hop place. The jeep trail all the way to the bottom makes going down pretty nice, and the steep climb back up managable. Thanks for the kind words. I think this forum group is a great bunch to get to know and bounce images off of each other. The other day I pulled up all my posts from when I started. I still have a LONG way to go but I def note some progression on my part and I have all of you to encourage and critique me. You guys and gals rock!!
