Yesterday was John James Audubon's birthday. In honor of that occasion, for
just a very few days (til Monday, I believe), Audubon has been making its great bird-guide
smart-phone app available for free or almost-free - via iTunes for people, and via Amazon Apps and Google Apps for any Androids among us.
It's a big app, and generally quite pricy -- usually running about ten bucks.
However, for a very limited time Amazon and Google are making it available for
FREE, and the iTunes app is going for 99 cents.
I personally prefer Sibley's but this will be useful as well.
