flighty........
Greylag taken at Cley Marshes in Norfolk a few weekends ago.
Bit miffed that I have AGAIN! caught the flight going away from the camera. I'm yet to get a decent flight shot with the subject in front of the camera!! Never mind, I'll keep trying!

Thanks for any comments.

edit: Sorry, meant to say thanks for the comments on my previous uploads, haven't had much time for commenting on many others in the last couple of weeks, but managed a few here and there.

I would be very happy with this shot.
Excellent detail and I like the position of the subject in the frame.
It may be my monitor but there appears to be a faint vertical stripe below the "belly" of the bird.

Nice flight shot - the even side lighting is nice.

Nice light, detail and positioning, I too see the slight strip below the belly.....

Its close enough to a full lateral I don't think you need to worry about it flying slightly away from you.

Was at Cley myself on the 6th of May, what a cracking place!
Close enough to side on for me. I too can see the vertical stripe, but wouldnt have noticed it if hadnt been pointed out before. :toast:

Hi Graeme

A very attractive flight shot, it works as is but a slightly head-on view would improve it a fraction. Plenty of sharp detail as well despite the 2x TC.

I visited Cley last year for a day and I agree it is a excellent location and has some great potential for photography. I just wish I lived closer.....

cheers
