Western Meadowlark
These are from the last two weekends out at Chatfield. Not too many species of birds out there just yet (except on the water). However, lucky for me, the Western Meadowlarks are back. They have long had one of my favorite songs. I like their warm colors and they are just fun to photograph. Hope I translated my passion for them well enough.

Very nice series Kurt. They sure do have nice coloring. The Singing Pose is my favorite, he looks like he's really belting it out. What camera/lens are you using?

The last image, "Take Off" is my most preferred, followed closely by the singer. The wingset and comp are what attracts me to the last.

The Master returns. It's so good to see your work here again, Kurt. Once again, a superlative set of professional caliber images. And what beautiful birds! I like each and every one of them, but the two 'Take-Offs' and the singer are my favorites. Your passion has easily translated into this set and indeed, all of your work. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Thanks for all the comments and the kind words. I have missed this forum and hope to be participating more. Been a rough year.
@Scott...my setup for all these shots was a Canon 1D MIV and Canon 500mm f/4.
