Saturday morning I met up with the PNWNP gang in the gorge for a few hours. I would loved to have played all weekend, but other commitments were limiting.
Steve, Ken, Bruce, and I hiked up Oneonta, a first for all of us. The sun was shining brightly and the dynamic range was huge, so I elected to play with a black and white. Not my forte, but fun to fool around with.
I'm looking forward to seeing shots others took over the weekend.
John, nicely done. Good seeing you ...though brief.
B/W is affirmed as the way to go. Bright walls quickly unraveled any color comp for me with limited HDR skills. Our carload arrived home yesterday evening. I had some must-do office work to get done this morning...then I decided to take the rest of day off and loaf... maybe touch up some shots.. I have a couple from this gorge that I will post.
#3 Steve Lepenske and Steve Kennedy... looking over the falls for a good comp. I like the touch that including a person adds to some landscapes... #2 is shows Bruce King looking for a comp in Oneonta Gorge....before light went harsh on everyone.
