Fighting Mallards
Gave my new 1Dx a "proper testing" yesterday whilst out photographing waterfowl and came across these two male Mallards fighting over a female (wich nearly drowned because of them by the way..).
The 1Dx passed the test with flying colors i must say..

greetings,

Jeroen Stel

For 5k if it had failed the test I would be asking for money back

Nice action shot with one of the birds nicely visible. :toast:

Some of the whites look a little blown to me, but I am looking at it on an iPad, which is, of course, uncalibrated. It is a smashing action shot though.

Great action shot. I reckon a little "beefing up" would help. I used to be like this in the Spring when I was younger    :toast: :toast:

Hi Jeroen, you finally bit the bullet, congrats you will love it, although yo will miss the crop factor. :toast: It nails the action, just need to get your head around the system and how to set the back button focus. Like the splayed wings and spray and the bold colours. :toast: :toast:

It is a tad on the bright side, but I think that lifts the droplets and brings the whole thing to life. Very nice image indeed :toast: :toast: :toast:
