An unexpected visitor.
D7000 500mm f4 ISO 1250 1/25s at f7.1 Taken through window with lens resting on edge of the bed.

This cheeky Pine marten visited the peanut feeding station at the back of the holiday cottage last week just as it was getting dark. At first I thought it was a cat then nearly fell off me chair when I saw the cream bib! Not exactly pin sharp and a little noisy but the reflection in its eye is, well, eye-catching! Won't win any prizes but a nice record shot.

Thank you for the comments on my ptarmigan image. Yes, the snow was horizontal at times and one gust almost took the birdie off its perch!

You lucky bugger!! I have never seen a Pine Marten in the fur so to speak and probably never will, I am very envious to say the least. Not too shabby for a window shot :biggrin:
