Passage wheatear & repost v. II
A rather large cropped image so no larger version today.

We are experiencing quite a good late passage of wheatear at present, this is one of 5 in a field on the Berkshire Downs this afternoon - they are about 4 weeks later than normal

Thanks John,

Processed this in strong light in my study and can now see it's a bit dark, repost and lifted the eye detail slightly

Last try.....and have re-profiled the laptop screen, but the display gamma now seems a very bright so these may now be too dark

Nice Wheatear shot Mike, a change from a usual post or rock perch. Agree with JR on processing.

Mike . You must be getting confused with the differeing ideas on this image. For what its worth I have just checked it on three computers and the first still looks lacking in "guts" to me. I also asked two other friends to have a look and they came up with the same view. So there you go   If you like it then thats ok.
Cheers

Thanks John

Viewed on my Mac the image colours seem fairly accurate in the first image, but on my laptop they are way out.......for interest, of the 5 passage birds there was 1 UK male (pale breasted), 1 bright orange breasted Greenland race and the remaining three (including this one) fairly muted peach coloured almost Autumn first summer coloured
