Thought of going up to dream lake but stopped on the way to shoot this, just past the Nymph lake. Your c&c is highly appreciated as always.

The red light reflecting off the snow is nice and tere are a few sparkles in the snow. Right in the center between the two trees, there looks to be a lighter grey clone of the treed horizon up in the sky. Was this one exposure?
Man, those are some nice clouds, and you captured a real nice sunstar.
However, the foreground really doesn't do anything for me. Kinda wish you had been in a better place. Sorry...
Doug - I hand blended 2 exp - one for the sky and the other for the trees.
I can see the light grey tone that you are talking about - will take care of that, thanks. No idea how it came there (perhaps when I blended).

Soubhik... That's a tough blend because of all the edges of trees, mountains etc... transition from the sky to the mountains look good but the transition of blend on the trees are very distinct. I think you need blend with different opacity and experiment with a soft brush.... I think there is a lot of portential here...

I think I'm of the same mind as John on this one, the foreground doesn't do much for me. I think even a crop to a vertical of the right side would focus more on the great clouds and sun star and keep the nice glow on the snow.
A little bit later - a vertical one, the sunstar is not as good. This is a tough blend from two exposures, if you think this works I will work more religiously on the blend.
The vert repost is the winner. Like John said, the horiz had too much dead space. I wouldn't call the last one something you should showcase, but it's pretty nice.
Yeah, that vertical repost is like a completely different image, Soubhik. I like how the trees frame the image now.
Clone out the lone white spot (snow?) in the forest and call it good!
