Olympics Low Tide
Spent a few days out on the Olympic Coast in Washington to enjoy a real low tide that i noticed on the tide tables a few months ago--i never got to see the tide pools when i lived out there, so it was a new experience for me. After a couple days of getting real wet wading through pools and hopping slippery rocks, i took a break from the fog and rain and went up Hurricane ridge Sunday morning; then played the edge of the fog layer on the way down the road. There was a good 10 feet of snow up there-it was a nice contrast! Highlights here:

Nice stuff, Stan. My favorite is "Break In the Weather". The Washington coast is very much on my ever growing "to do" list.

I love all your colorful tide pool critters.

Welcome home Stan to more snow. Man that's a different world up there than were are used to down here in Colorado. I remember growing up in Portland Oregon and making it to the beach every now and then. I remember these beautiful (and stinky) low tides. There's something about hanging out in a world that is usually underwater. Obviously the big winner here is "Break in the Weather," I just love the grand scenic!! "Into the Rain Forest" is another beautiful image.

Break In The Weather is spectacular, Stan., but some of those tide pool images are pretty nice as well. :toast:

Nice collection, Stan. It's often good to change things up every once in a while and try a new style or location. As much as I like "Break in the Weather", the two that call most strongly to me are the first image, "Sea Star", and "The Olympics".

Really nice set, Stan. "Break in the Weather" is special but I'm drawn to the tide pool stuff. Makes me wish I'd spent more time on the beaches when I was there last year. But, I followed my plan: If it's sunny, go to the beach. If it rains, go to the Rain Forest. Next time....tide pools. Thanks for sharing.

Stan, my favorite also was "Break in the Weather". So glad you were able to get away for a little while. That's a wonderful part of the world isn't it? :toast:

Wow, terrific and varied collection Stan! I was going to list all my favorites but I gave up after the 9th or 10th one, although the starfish images are all great. Absolute winner in my book is Break in the Weather, that image has it all. :toast:

Secret Garden, Lineup and Outsider are my favorites, especially because I rarely see images like these. Nice work all the way, though!

Nice! I love that Break in the Storm shot. And #1257 -- you say it's an otter, so I guess you otter know.

Another vote for Break in the Weather...but I it was a close race for me with a couple of the starfish images...most notably Outsider and The Lineup.

Stan, of the anenome and starfish shots, preference goes to Outsider, Line up, and Minus 2. In Line Up, do you have any frame on the right to add the edge of the 2 o'clock leg that is cut off? I see a vertical of the left pink anenome in Pink and Green as the right green guy is dissected.

With the Olympics scenes, I like Hurricane Morning and the lower half of Break in the Weather.

Really like the sea star and anemone shots, partly because, for me, they are rare to photograph and so colorful, but also, because they are just really good!
