I have not posted anything in a long time but I am still here, in the background. I look at all the posts on a regular basis and I promise I will start making comments again.
I went through a small burnout and haven't picked up my camera for several months until today.....almost forgot what all those buttons and knobs do
The other reason for my "absence" is that my wife's cancer returned in December and we have been dealing with that for a while now. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy for a rare form of cancer called Leiomysacrcoma...only 4 in a million are diagnosed with this. It's hard to plan any kind of shooting...I am tentatively coming to Moab but that could change at the last minute. Obviously my attention has been directed at her so I haven't followed up on the raptor shoot...sorry.
Please bear with us if we are late with getting posts up. Joshua is busy with his new job and we lost Adam due to job commitments. It may reach a point in the next few months where we need a new moderator or 2.
Photography isn't going away anytime soon and we're all fine in this forum. Your #1 is to care for your wife, and we all look so forward to that day when you can post that she's doing much better... and we hope and pray that's soon!
Thanks for letting us know what is happening with you. I'm so sorry for all you are facing right now, especially with your wife's cancer. Know that we are all quite concerned for you and are here if you need anything.
In the grand scheme, posting here, or even taking pictures, isn't too important when you've got the more important battle with your wife's health staring you down. Best wishes for you and the mrs., Jack. Sending all the positive spirit I can your way.
Thanks for all the warm thoughts everyone..we really appreciate it. I am actually going for my first shoot tomorrow night at Devils Tower. Hoping to catch some good meteor action.

Understandable, your first priority is your wife, we'll be hanging around. Best wishes for a full recovery.
