At last the snow gone.
It took three attempts to get to the top of the hill but perseverance works, sadly all the snow had gone.

Nikon D300
Nikon 600mm f4 + 1.4 TC
ISO 1250
exposure 1/800th @ f8

your critique is most welcome :wavey:

you needed the snow Paul as the BG is a bit intrusive on this one, smart bird though

Have to agree with Bob and think a little shadow/highlight adjustment might give you some more details in the black of the bird.

greetings,

Hi Paul,
Nice pic but I agree with Bob about the snow/BG and agree with Jeroen about the black and white in the bird. Maybe the last is the most difficult with this kind of birds, the colors.
But still jaleous on you that you have the picture.

Great pose on the bird Paul but would echo previous comments. Have you any more taken at this location, perhaps with a different bg?

Nick. :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:  :wavey:

Paul

They don't come easy, but you have done well.
