Not the usual image of the beautiful Palouse country. I had just come down from Steptoe Butte where I tried to get some images-didn't do very well due to cold (42), sort of darkness and a very high wind kicking up a lot of dust, when the sun broke out just above the horizon. Cropped a bit off the bottom and some added contrast. Canon 40D; iso 400; f10 @ 1/160th.
