Palouse Sunset
I mistakenly posted this in the RMNP forum. It was taken near Steptoe Butte. It was cold (45 at top) and extremely windy and therefor quite dusty. The day had been overcast and a bit dark. As I was driving from Steptoe toward Spokane the sun actually broke through. I exited on a gravel road and took a couple shots. I added some contrast and cropped a bit off the bottom. Canon 40D (probably going to need a good cleaning); F10 @ 1/160th; ISO 400.

Nice shot Jim! I love the warm colors and the abstract feel to it. I'm glad you explained where this was 'cause I wouldn't have had a clue otherwise.

The more I look at it the more I like it. :toast:

Very cool abstract Jim. I would have guessed Death Valley, not the Palouse!

Wow...this is stunning... At first, I thought the desert dunes. Surprise. Nicely seen and captured.
