Columbia River Gorge Shoot
Last weekend 7 photographers had a very nice time photographing The Gorge. Ken Smith, Bruce King, John Williams, Catherine Riley and I, plus 2 guests, Steve Le Penske and Larry Simpson. We had a great time chasing the light (or running away from the too bright light!) to get a number of excellent shots. A few have already been posted but I thought we should use this thread to put them all together. So here are the shots I could salvage (my wide angle lens was having focusing issues).

This first shot is of Crown Point and the Vista House taken from the Oregon Women's Forum overlook.

And finally, a shot of Elowah Falls with too much mist on my lens.

I hope the others post here too.

The light looks pretty harsh, but you guys still got some nice shots. Looks like you had a pretty nice sunrise! And just being there is the biggest reward! Looking forward to seeing more shots at the meeting!

Here's a shot of the Crown Point, same as Steve's, except I hated the light we had. So I added a bunch of effects from NIK to create an ektachrome film rendition of a sunset where the glow happens on the opposite side from the sun. I kinda liked the way the haze stayed in there.
Will have some more ready soon...

Here's a couple from Fairy Falls, both post-processed with NIK, especially on #2, which was very dark at the time we were there.

Offering encouragement from our other participants to post some shots. Please do!

Hi Catherine, great to see your shots! Everyone's 'take' is unique. I like the Crown Pt effects you added. And the Fairy Falls with the top crop-off (the darker of the two) is my fav. Centering on those stair-step cascades did them justice. Ken

Thanks! Hope to see some of yours up here, Ken? Looked to me like you set up some good ones.
