Early Purple Orchid - One from my local nature reserve.

Olympus E5, 150mm F2, iso 200, 1/250s at f4, EV -1, tripod. 2 second shutter delay to act to dampen vibrations.

Must remember to pack the reflectors next time to soften the shadow detail in these strong sun light conditions

Hi Mike
Main plant fine but in my humble opinion the OOF one distracts a bit.Others will not agree. Easily sorted I would have thought.

Cheers

I think the OOF plant works fro this one but feel the harsh lighting and busy BG are distracting me too much instead.
Perhaps a diffusion screen would have hepled a bit here.

greetings,

Not working for me Mike... the light definately needs diffusing and I feel it needs more room below for a more comfortable composition...

I would echo the previous comments Mike but it is a stunning subject and worthy of another shot or three!

First I was thinking about cycling when I saw the title, but luckely this forum stays clean. :)
I agree about the OoF one in the background and the harsh light.
