Will that do for you dear ?
Green Woodpeckers
More for interest. Certainly not a photo masterpiece
This bird started digging the hole out in a tree not far off my pool hide, so I have been able to watch it for a while.
I heard the bird call one day last week- looked up from my crossword, and there was the female inspecting the hole ! The male just sat to one side as if to say
"Will that do ?"
Taken over the top of the hide door .
Taken at 53 metres distance and a big crop ! with the Nikon 70-300mm.
Cheers
Thanks for Cuckoo interest.

Crop or not I would take it. Can only find GSWs myself. Well done. :toast:

Very good quality, considering the crop, but then the 70-300 is a superb lens. Of course, a good photographer behind it helps as well!
