I am now back from Australia and New Zealand, with a huge pile of memory cards to download and sort. Whilst I am doing that, here is a shot of a rainbow lorikeet to be going on with. These birds are everywhere, and come readily to feeders. They are also very noisy.
Cropped for posting, and some bare areas either cloned out or toned down.

Thanks for looking.

Brings back memories David they really are splendid looking birds I like the bird and it's Bg but i wonder if it would be possible to maybe lose a bit of the perch in the top left hand it does draw my eye just a suggestion and if it's as you like it then that's fine.
Hope you had a great trip and look forward to seeing your images.

Thanks, Keith. That is one of the areas I have toned down a lot, the trunk was near-white in the original. I did think about cropping it out altogether, but that would leave a square image, something I personally dislike.

Brings back memories here too, very noisy mornings in the Northern Territory! Love the pose and colours David! :toast:

My ears still hurt from last time i was there..
But you got to love their colors! Can only imagine you have had a fantastic time!

Love the over the shoulder look here but would have prefered a vertical crop instead as the big OOF branch kind of attracts me away from the bird.

greetings,

Amazing looking bird there David. I know you dislike the squear crop but the angle of the body and the gaze direction could be suited to it
