This was taken late in April on a trip to the Cayahoga Valley National park south of Cleveland, Ohio.It was late afternoon with a western exposure and the light alternated between filtered sub and fat light with the sun behind large clouds.I choose to wait for the filtered sun light and used my diffuser. The wind was gusting lightly making this an exercise in Patience!
Fiddleheads are a favorite of mine!
I like the use of the diffuser, as it really makes me feel like I could touch it.
Great diffused blurred background.
The only thing you could do to improve it is try to get the plane of the camera parallel with the plant. I know, I know -- this is easier said than done! I've tried time and time again. I have two plamps and one hold my diffuser or reflector the other will sometimes hold my flower.
Wonderful image!!

These are fun to take! I have a couple shots of these too. I love how the baby leaves overlap in the curled part.
