My wife and I traveled to Moab this past weekend and spent some time in arches National Park. We had sunny skies and warm temps. Here is one of the shots we took. We also venture to fisher Towers and stopped on the way back at Rifle Falls. All in all a great trip and had time to visit relatives. Lots more photos on our Flickr site.

Hi Larry, I got to visit that area once and I'm so itching to return, preferably not in the middle of the day, but that was how it worked out for us. This image is well composed and well exposed,it just seems to make me yearn for a bit more dramatic lighting and sky, which is exactly what happened to me when I visited there!. HOWEVER, I jusy went to your Flickr site, and you're holding out on us, because you've got a winner with this image. Wow, what an excellent composition and use of FG/MG/BG. In fact, it's the middle ground that can sometimes be challenging, and here it's the best feature of this shot. Nice textured skies, snow covered peak in background, great strata in between... excellent image. I might trim up the bottom just a little or at least clone out the rock tip in the LLC, but otherwise a truly dynamic image.

Thanks Paul and Stan for your comments. Paul, I did burn down that rock quite a bit and I guess it still shows or catches the eye. I think your idea about cloning out the rock will work. I have a little more work to do on that file and then I think I will post it here. Thanks again for the helpful comments.
