Gorge Sunset
Last night coming home from Rowena.

It'll probably sell well, people like seeing where they live in beautiful conditions. It's not an A1 photo though, I like the graphic of the river and the hills on either side, the sky is cool but it's a photo that anyone standing there with a camera would have taken.

Pretty nice, Mark. I like that there is that upper cloud to keep your eyes where they need to stay. The sunset color is natural, and not overdone..

Pretty cool, Mark. Although anyone with a camera, if at that spot, could have taken the image, it was you that got the image so that makes it worth it. I wish I had gotten it...

Mark,
Where is the Gorege? Is that the Washington side of the gorge?

Well, Jim, if it were on Uranus, you'd know it!

Well I guess you know what toilet paper and the Starship Enterprise have in common then.

They both circle Uranus, looking for Klingons.

Oh god, here I am trying to do serious photography and I have to deal with a guy whose name is not pronounced like it's spelled.

The keyword is TRYING.

BTW, I had no say in the matter. But if it makes you feel better, the translation from Czech is George. Not to be confused with gorge, or gorege.

haha...you guys are funny! I'd say this image feels very placid...The variations in the sky are interesting enough, but almost too busy for a totally serene feel.
I'm glad you got out to shoot though...I had to watch the sky unfold from home, and not get to go out and do anything about it. :frown: Oh well, it's my week to stay home and work around the house. I'll get to play soon enough.

Mark, I agree that the scene is one of beauty, unfortunately I see little ooh and ahh as compared to many other of your photos. As natural as it is and that it appears to not be overdone, it just lacks what I need to be moved.

Mark,
I bet you shot this on the turnout just before you get to the freeway entrance on the west side of the bypass. I have been here many times and I think you have really done good with this shot. I guess you might have to actually have been there to appreciate this. :toast:
