Depending on how far you are willing to drive and how much time you have, you might want to drive to Old Mine Road in Warren and Sussex Counties, NJ. If I'm not wrong, it should take less than 1 1/2 hr from Princeton. Lots and lots of Warblers, Flycatchers and passerine migrants along this road at this time of the year
The southern entrance to Old Mine Road is at Exit 1 on Interstate 80, just before the bridge over the Delaware River into Pennsylvania. From the entrance, Old Mine Road meanders north along the Jersey side of the ancient Delaware River, passing through Worthington State Forest and the Delaware Water Gap Nat Recreation Area. Stop at frequent parking lots and pull-offs to look and listen.
Other great birding spots in NJ are Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, near Atlantic City and Cape May which is further south.
Not far over the river into PA is Peace Valley Park in Doylestown. Lots of trails and a bird blind at the Nature Center. We also have a nesting Bald Eagle on the Delaware on the Jersey side across from Lumberville, PA.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have found great places to shoot here in Princeton at Mountain Lake Park, and advanced Studies Institute woods. There is an entrance off Alexander near the canal bridge. Broad range of subjects.
