Morning Columbine
This is another practice in composition and cropping. I was out with my Canon PowerShot G12. I had it set in Aperture Priority and in Macro mode. Exposure was f4.5@ 1/50 and 100 ISO. The camera's image stabilization helped since I handheld the small camera. I have another version of this image that I cropped for effect. If I cannot post it today then I will add it tomorrow for feedback.

I shot image in RAW format so I used Lightroom to exposure correct and add a bit of vibrance, contrast and sharpness.

This is a cropped version of same image.

I like the cropped version of this image - it shows off the stamen and the drops better than the full image. You may want to add just a touch more space on the right, and maybe a little less space on the left - just a very minor move. I think that would give it a little more balance.

Thanks Steve. The right and left side gave me a lot of grief figuring out just how much of the stem to show so as to lead the eye from lower left to upper right down to flower.

Very nice, Chris. Might be a bit oversaturated for reality, but a glorious flower and I like the lighting. I agree with Steve on the crop suggestions, and I'd probably add enough on top to get the whole leaf instead of chopping it off, but that's just my taste.

What a beautiful jewel. I love the clarity of the water droplets.

ditto what has been said above, but I like the saturation. It fits the dampness.
