Barn owl 2
Been getting some nice close up shots of the barn owl but this landscape took my eye as it sets the scene nicely. I have been parking the landy in the middle of the field where it is roosting and it seems not at all bothered by my presence, even when I stood outside to take this shot whilst resting my elbow on the bonnet:wink:

Was not sure if cropping out the sky etc, was any better?

No, I think the first version is best. It really sets the bird in it's environment. Lovely work, Bob.

Keep the sky Bob as David has said, it sets the scene beautifully. That would look great on a calendar.

Second one for me too, Bob. Love the comp on that one, the inclusion of the second post really balances the shot.

Bob

I like both, but the second may just have the edge.

Hi mate, both look great but I do prefer the first it just cries out English countryside :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

First for me too, the second I think loses the sense of space and countryside, I might be tempted to brighten the image ever such a tiny amount... but a great image anyway...
