Admiring Rising Sun
I captured this one early morning on the way to work. At times there are about a dozen adult and juvenile Bald Eagles hanging out on Ediz Hook in Port Angeles, WA. There are a few favorite high spots where they like to perch. This shot could have been better if I could have captured the horizon but the eagle was perched about 20 feet off ground and my perspective was too low. All I did in Lightroom was boost clarity, and vibrance a bit along with sharpness. We enjoy terrific sunrises on the spit with tremendous golden hues. I actually did not boost it as much as I remembered because I did not want it to appear over done.

Beautiful sunrise color Chris and the observing eagle is great. If this were mine I feel their is a bit too much of the long "perch." I would have composed or cropped so that the eagle was in the same left of center position but lower, about mid frame.

Nice shot! Well positioned in the frame, this has a stirring contemplative message.

I like this, Chris. Beautiful sunrise and I like the eagle where it's positioned.

Sorry I'm late to the party.

This is a nice shot Chris. I like the comp and the colors. I like how you have the eagle in silhouette and the mood it portrays.

Sweet silhouette; that gold really sets it up.
