Two of a Kind
House Sparrows
A delightful moment at my little pool  I love the way male spadgers tolerate each other.I suppose all colonial birds do for that matter. Shows the advantage of racking outa bit too to get better DOf. Can afford to do it now I have the 24 million jobbies !! So pleased the wife bought me the new camera
Sorry to bore you with more puddle stuff but thats all there is at the moment apart from the Little owls and once you've done one on a perch you,ve done ,em all !!
D7100 DX mode Contrast and EV down one.60% of full frame.
Nikor 70-300mm f4
Levels etc Paint Shop pro.
Thanks for snail interest.

Very smart John. Perhaps you should change the LOWL perch to something a little more interesting

Not so much the perches but the back ground which is rather limited. I,ve used about a dozen differebt perches but the backdrop is getting boring. I even thought of artificial ones !!!
There's only about two places I can work from.
Cheers

Cracking spadger shot JR, two for the price of one! Interested in your use of the term DX mode. As the D7100 is a DX camera do you mean you used the additional 1.3 DX crop making it a 2x crop? Curious to know if you have used it and if you find it useful, IQ etc.

A smart image of an under-rated species.

Thanks all . Nick- No the DX is just the normal mode and I have done some tests with the 1:3 mode but not thing conclusive yet. The buffer doesn't fill up so quick but I am not a rapid fire man !! Some say you are just as well off shooting full res in DX and then getting the same result by cropping as the 1:3 mode would.(If that makes sense.)
Cheers
