OT: New Mexico Burning (Again)
A fire in the Pecos Valley near the Pecos Wilderness started yesterday about 3:30 pm by downed powerlines. 1000+ acres, many homes threatened, evacuations.

A fire started at 3:00 pm today Just north of Jemez Springs in the Jemez Mountains by powerlines touching trees. Only 5 acres right now. Homes threatened. Evacuations.

New Mexico's drought is the worst in the country. Less than 1/4 of average rain/snow fall in the last 8 months.

You might want to get down here and shoot some photos before its all gone! :frown:

Yeah, it doesn't look good for this summer, especially with the sequester cuts in the number of firefighters.
